MADE-BY UK is delighted to introduce two new ambassadors: the Leicester –born sisters, Nichole and Charlotte de Carle. We look forward to working with the de Carle sisters with their dedication, down-to-earth attitudes and, perhaps most importantly, their commitment to a sustainable fashion In the world of fashion, Nichole and Charlotte de Carle need no introduction. Their careers kicked off when Nichole sent a picture of the de Carle girls to a London modelling agency, with an interest in pursuing a career in modelling. In the end, it was actually Charlotte who caught the agent’s eye and entered the competitive industry. Meanwhile, Nichole unleashed her gift for creativity and her eye for design to build her own international luxury brand. Charlotte de Carle is perhaps most well-known as a star on E4’s reality show Dirty, Sexy Things, where she was coined the ‘favourite’ of renowned fashion photographer, Perou, for her wit, professionalism and considerate nature. Charlotte’s modelling career has sine continued to blossom; she has featured in campaigns for T-Mobile, Caterpillar, Alice & Astrid, Nicole Farhi, Ralph Lauren and Grazia Magazine to name just a few. She is also the face of her sister’s brand, Nicole de Carle London. "Throughout our work, we have had the great privilege of meeting some amazing and influential people and it is our intention to carry the message of sustainability and MADE-BY to them." says Charlotte de Carle.

Since graduating with a first class honours degree in Contour Fashion from De Montfort University, Nichole’s career also took off quickly. She went on to work for several big names including Alexander McQueen, Donna Karan and Pleasure State. She launched Nichole de Carle London in 2008, which has gone on to gain international recognition with stores in over 15 different countries. Nichole has been involved the luxury segment of the fashion industry for many years and has seen the rising importance of sustainability first hand. "We love the fact that MADE-BY is a not for profit organisation and also see how in depth an understanding they have in fashion business and a pragmatic approach to helping brands address social and environmental issues. Through their workshops and startegy setting, they help brands break down sometimes very daunting issues like how to decrease the amount of water being used in the supply chain, which fabrics to use, which factories to earmark for improvements and even which issue to tackle first." explains Nichole de Carle. Both sisters support sustainable fashion and are looking forward to supporting MADE-BY and its messages. With these common values, combined with their talent and enthusiasm, Nichole and Charlotte are a welcome addition, bringing our values directly to the rack. |
