Last week the third edition of the Accelerator programme, run by Fashion for Good and Plug and Play, kicked off with 15 innovative start-ups aiming to make the fashion industry more sustainable. “We normally have 10 start-ups joining the Fashion for Good Plug and Play Accelerator, but this time we have added five strong innovators on top. Since we have seen so much potential we increased the amount to hopefully implement these technologies and reshape the fashion industry for good”, commented Anne-Ro Klevant Groen of Fashion for Good.

The 15 innovators in this edition of the programme are: Algiknit, BioGlitz, circular.fashion, Flocus, Frumat, Good on You, Mango Materials, Nano Textile, Orange Fiber, PAPTIC, PlanetCare, Provenance, Reverse Resources, Scalable Garment Technologies and Style Lend. They will join a 12-week programme during which they will receive mentorship from Fashion for Good’s partners: Adidas, C&A, Galaries Lafayette, Kering, Target and Zalando. The programme will end with a graduation event on the 14th of June at the headquarters of Fashion for Good in Amsterdam during which the start-ups can pitch their innovations to industry leaders and investors.

This time the Accelerator is also collaborating with Planet Textiles 2018 and will offer some of the innovators the opportunity to be included in Planet Textiles’ priority review process.
