Selma Yasdut, the founder of Sey, has several years experience in product development, quality management and sourcing for well known, global textile brands in Germany as well as in China, where she spent several months working. Accurate patterns and personal quality control Selma Yasdut, textile engineer and owner of the label, sets a high value on premium materials, detailed workmanship and a special cut that promises a perfect fit. Furthermore the production is subject to closely monitored quality control. “I visit all suppliers personally and inspect both the quality of the denim wear and the working conditions under which they are produced. It is very important for us to abandon chemical additives and we try to use them as little as possible. That also means that we say no to trends that require the use of harmful chemicals. Special effects are achieved with contrast coloured decorative stitching and yarns or valuable details such as welt pockets”. |
