Starting out in the ‘80s, Nomad was originally a producer of travel and camping equipment. Their product range now covers Protection (clothing, shoes), Carry (backpacks, travel bags), Rest (tents, sleeping bags and mats) and Discovery (unusual travel and hot air balloon flights). In 2007, Nomad formed a partnership with MADE-BY. 

Social Conditions in Factories
In 2010, Nomad produced a significant amount of their collection in European low risk countries. In addition, one of their Chinese suppliers is SA8000 certified, resulting in 88% of their products being produced under Class A conditions. 

Environmental Impact of Raw Materials
In 2010, Nomad continued to offer a range of organic cotton tops, tripling their consumption to just over 6000kg. Due to incomplete administration however, these 1.6% Class B raw materials could not be included within the report.
