Social Conditions in Factories As a member of the BSCI monitoring and qualification system, Jackpot have over recent years been striving towards having its suppliers compliant to the BSCI standards (Class B). Significant progress has been made with in this regard. In 2010, 40% of Jackpot’s production was produced at suppliers successfully audited against the BSCI standards. Following this, at the very beginning of 2011, two further key suppliers in Bangladesh and China became BSCI compliant.
Environmental Impact of Raw Materials Jackpot is a large user of organic cotton, at a consumption of nearly 130,000 kilos. The amount of organic versus conventional cotton used in their ranges has declined this year due to the introduction of a new product area. Jackpot are also investigating other alternatives in more sustainable cotton options. In addition, a part of the collection was produced with Class A fibres; recycled polyester and organic linen.
