Rianne de Witte is a Dutch designer that combines the beauty of nature with fashionable design. Focusing on womenswear only, her styles can be described as sophisticated simplicity, clean lines, classic and feminine. Rianne de Witte stands for quality and timeless fashion. Rianne de Witte began their partnership with MADE-BY in 2007.
Social Conditions in Factories Due to Rianne de Witte’s required workmanship, as well as the company’s philosophy, the brand bases all their production in Europe. Their 2010 collection was predominantly produced in Portugal, a low risk country (Class A), with a small part produced in the Netherlands, also a low risk country, however due to administration difficulties, their Netherlands production units were unverified in this year’s Scorecard, resulting in a small percentage of the unclassified category.
Environmental Impact of Raw Materials In 2010, Rianne de Witte introduced organic linen into their collection, a Class A fibre. Furthermore, a predominant part of their collection is made with TENCEL® (Class B), an environmental friendly version of viscose. Organic cotton (Class B) also continues to be used in their collection, however due to increased conventional cotton (Class E) being blended with TENCEL® for some of their styles, there is proportionally less organic cotton present in their Environmental Scorecard.
