Holly Browne

Head of Sustainable Product & Story, London Office

I am the UK team lead, supporting brands to ensure sustainability is embedded within their businesses. I am responsible for working with a wide range of brands across the UK fashion industry, supporting them to go forward with their sustainability aims. I am also responsible for MADE-BY’s work with SCAP (Sustainable Clothing Action Plan), a collaborative framework and voluntary commitment to deliver industry-led targets for reducing the use of resources in the clothing industry.

I have spent the last 11 years working in the fashion industry, 7 of those within sustainability and compliance. My passion for sustainable supply chains started in the production team at Ted Baker and since then I have loved working with and ensuring best practice Compliance and Sustainability and subsequently moved to Thomas Pink where I was their Supplier Compliance Manager. I have worked on a diverse range of subjects from animal welfare, compliance, sustainable fibres, cotton strategies and environmental topics.
I hold a BA (Hons) Fashion Design IND from the University of Leeds, and I am also an IRCA certified Social Systems Auditor.

I have a real interest and love for fashion and firmly believe that sustainability is the best differentiator for brands. It is definitely possible to create beautiful, sustainable garments and working for MADE-BY means I get to help brands do this every day!
